Encountering a charging station failure? 8 common problems and solutions
Electric car owners often encounter charging pile troubleshooting when charging. Here are 8 common fault situations and corresponding solutions for everyone, hoping to help everyone.
1. The front edge of the power supply is not lit
Check whether the circuit breaker next to the charging pile and other circuit breakers on the line and the electric meter are tripped or owed. If the circuit breaker trips, please close the circuit breaker while ensuring safety. If the electric meter is owed, please recharge or renew in time to ensure power supply.
2. Unable to start the charging process
Check whether there are foreign objects in the charging gun and the car socket, and clean them in time. Check whether the charging gun is correctly inserted into the vehicle. You can try to unplug and plug the charging gun again, hold the charging gun handle with one hand (without pressing the unlock button), insert it into the vehicle charging socket, and hear a "click". Check whether the vehicle is set to schedule charging or other function settings that affect charging, and try to start charging again after turning it off.
3. The fault status light is red
Try to disconnect the power of the charging pile and restart it to observe whether the fault light is eliminated. Check whether the emergency stop button of the charging pile is pressed. If it is pressed, reset the emergency stop button. If the problem still cannot be eliminated, please contact your service partner for equipment maintenance.
4. Unable to unplug the charging gun
Check whether the charging pile and the vehicle have stopped charging. Confirm that the vehicle is unlocked. Check whether the electronic lock in the seat has retracted. If not, repeat the unlocking of the vehicle. If the charging gun still cannot be unplugged after the above operation, please contact your service partner for guidance or use the vehicle emergency unlocking device to unplug the charging gun.
5. Poor contact of the charging gun
The metal contacts between the charging gun and the charging pile play the role of power transmission. If the metal contacts of the charging gun are dirty, oxidized, damp, overloaded or blocked by foreign objects, the power transmission is not smooth or interrupted. Even if the vehicle is correctly connected to the charging pile, it cannot be charged normally. Check the vehicle charging port and the charging gun head. You can try to clean the charging gun interface with a paper towel and try to charge again, but be sure to pay attention to safety.
6. Charging pile system failure
The controller of the charging pile needs to run software to control the charging process and interact with the vehicle. If there is a problem with the software, such as a code bug or data transmission error, the charging pile will not be able to charge normally. First, rule out whether the charging pile itself has a fault problem, and choose another charging pile to try charging. If it can charge smoothly, it means that the charging pile is faulty or damaged and needs to be repaired.
7. Charging pile network failure
Operator network abnormality, temporary network interruption, IoT card without network or arrears will cause the charging pile to be offline and unable to charge. If the owner encounters an unstable network, he can try it many times. If it still doesn't work, he can also call the charging station operator customer service and try to restart the module to see if it can go online. The operator can ensure the stability of the charging pile network by adding signal receivers, recharging balances, etc.
8. Battery status detection failure
The charging pile will determine whether the battery is suitable for charging, as well as the charging method and speed by detecting the battery status. If the battery status detection is inaccurate, the charging process cannot be carried out correctly. If you often encounter situations where the charging pile cannot be recognized, you can go to the 4S shop to check the battery status during maintenance, and replace the faulty components in time if there is a fault.
